I'm still completely shocked at what happened last night! (Check post "What Are The Odds?" below.) Yes, I saw the waitress talking to the guy - but it didn't seem like anything other than normal waitress/patron banter. I was only going to ask her opinion because I thought maybe she might have had better gaydar than I do. But, wow - I'm so happy (and at the same time, so embarrassed) that I asked.

Today was colder than it has been lately in LA. It would have been the perfect day to wear my new Nebraska hoody, but I left it at home like a schmuck. In this picture, I can't tell if I'm trying to block a tackle or performing my favorite Diana Ross song.
In any case, that is my football. I actually own a football - for real. Does that give a me a few points for masculinity? (Also - if you're wondering, that is a poster calling for mechanics to work on Vipers. Oh BSG, I miss you dearly.) How is it Monday morning already? I swear it was just Friday afternoon and I was so happy and I kept myself busy at work while thinking about all the stuff I was going to get done over the weekend.
Of my extensive checklist of things to accomplish, I may have actually done two of them. Maybe... I guess "Lose 10 Pounds" will have to wait until next weekend. Who wants IHOP? Game of Thrones started tonight on HBO. I'm upset that I don't get HBO (or cable, for that matter) to watch it. But at the same time, I'm ok with it - because I will wait for it to come out on DVD and then just watch it all at once (instead of having to wait for next week, etc.). And besides, I already read the book. It's not like I don't know what's going to happen.
But, I will be slightly jealous when everyone is talking about it at work tomorrow. I don't like feeling left out of conversations. My roommate Jesse was on a date (with a girl, but they went to The Abbey in WeHo) - and I decided to check it out. But I made one small mistake when I decided to bike there. You know what's not a good idea when you work in a corporate setting - especially when you are in HR? Being vague when complimenting someone on an accessory!
I wanted to compliment a coworker on a cool necklace she was wearing - but instead of just saying "Hey, your necklace is cool" like any normal person would do, I decided to point to her and motion to my chest and say "I like this. It's pretty." Thankfully, she picked up on what I was saying - so it wasn't too awkward. But that could have seriously gone awry. Could you imaging if I had made the same hand gestures but with an even worse comment like "You should accent this more." Lawsuits are fun, right? I have been reading the book "Game Of Thrones" - and I just finished last night. It was really good - and I highly recommend it. I am very excited for the HBO show coming out this weekend. They were promoting the show at Hollywood & Highland yesterday with The Iron Throne - and I decided I needed my picture taken... ... twice.
For those of you reading my last blog post below - let me just say - it was a joke. I would never contact someone out of the blue through Facebook like that.
Would I contact the mutual friend to find out what the deal is? Absolutely. Did I? No. ...and the search continues... |
