Give your HR person a hug today for me - but keep it professional.

Today also marks the One Year Anniversary of me moving over to HR at my current job. It's been a fun but tough yet rewarding year.
Give your HR person a hug today for me - but keep it professional.

Alright - last night was my first official meeting to plan Gay Day Ten (Oct 1) - and I'm already SOOOO nervous.
But it's gonna be great. So be there! For this site to be fair, I can't just post the pictures where I look fabulous - because there are some pictures out there where I look less than attractive. This is one of those pictures. I went out with some friends last night - and LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem started playing. I decided to do the shuffle since I watched their "how to" video... and then this picture happened. Here's the video if you'd like to learn how to dance and look this good. Happy Birthday to my roommate Jesse. I may call you a d-bag to your face, but behind your back I call you my best friend.
A teeny-tiny lizard somehow found his way into my kitchen - and I had to figure out how to safely release him back into the wild. My friend Christian is moving to Shanghai - and while I'm terribly sad for me, I'm incredibly happy for him. He is one of the first people I met in GMCLA. He's great - and I will miss his spirit and his smile very much. So this is for you Christian, because 1) it's fitting, and 2) I know you love it. This isn't goodbye - it's definitely "see you soon." YOU SHOULD TOTALLY DO THIS! (click on the pic below for more details)
Unless you're one of the 122 - in which case you should NOT do this - but rather contact me through the Contact Steve page and let's go on a date! BUT - if you're not in the 122, then you should go and find yourself a man - and while you're there, maybe you can spread the word about my little site here to help me find one of the 122. There is definitely a reward for any assistance in finding a member of The 122. So keep your eyes and ears open! Today was another workout failure day - not because something happened during a workout - but because I actually failed to do it completely.
I set my alarm early to get up and go to the gym - and then when the alarm went off, I just reset it for the normal time. And the scary thing is that I don't even really remember doing it - so my excuse today is that I need more sleep so that when my alarm does go off early, I actually wake up. That's a justifiable excuse, right? And with that, I'll grab a sausage McGriddle on my way to work - I love productive days. I can't decide if it's a statement about me or about the military - but all the lip dubs, covers, etc that have been released by military personnel in the last year have made me more interested in joining the military now than I have ever been. Check out the latest - this band comprised of servicemembers totally rocks Adele's "Rolling In The Deep." So how long after enlisting do you think they'd let me stage a Celine Dion Sing-Along?
I talked to my sister on the phone tonight - and we started talking about her oldest son (who is 5 years old). And apparently, he's a huge Star Wars fan now. And I wanted so badly to rub it in her face how much she made fun of me for being a huge nerd when we were younger - and now she has to research all the aspects of nerddom to foster this new phase in her son's life. I find it very funny.
Anyway - to celebrate I watched four episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise tonight. (SUCH an exciting life I lead...) |
