Apparently, I'm rubbing off on people (not like that...gross). But seriously - DateSteveScott.com now seems to have a sister site. I just found out about it yesterday that someone else tried to crunch their numbers and created a site of their own. I am going to get more details today and will let you know. How EXCITING! Alright - two things need to happen for Gay Day Ten (October 1, 2011) - here they are in no particular order:
- I need to plan Gay Day Ten. - I need to work out so I look good for Gay Day Ten. One of these things is a bit more important than the other for the event to be a success. I'll let you decide which one. So I was working on Friday - and maybe I was also on Twitter every now and then - and I sent out a link to a fundraising drive for the "Say I Do" project - and someone took the info that I sent and referenced me on their webpage. Which is nice - even though I don't deserve the credit. But I think the cool thing is that this person doesn't even follow me on Twitter. I'm unsure how she found out the information through me - but it doesn't matter, right? The more people that see it, the better. So my message to you is keep spreading the word however you can and to whoever you can - someone is listening - and the more people the listen, the better it us for our cause. (The homosexual agenda, you know.) So, the screenshot isn't the biggest picture - but that's my little Twitter icon down there... see it?... way down there?
I'm riding in the AIDS/Lifecycle next June - and they sent a packet about celebrating "First Fridays" - which are the first Fridays of the month. And we should wear our t-shirts to raise awareness that we are participating in this year's event. So - here's a pic of me in my t-shirt! For more info on the AIDS/Lifecycle, click the image below.
Here's my reaction to the news that Sao Paulo, Brazil will be holding a "Straight Pride." What do you think of my anti-protest protest idea?
Click on the mock-up of the anti-protest protest sign below to find out more about Straight Pride in Brazil. I'm heading to West Hollywood tonight to pass out fliers for Sunday's Hairspray Sing-Along with GMCLA.
If you see me, say hi! I purchased sheet music from Hollywood Sheet Music yesterday - and although I was nervous to go in and shop around due to my general lack of knowledge - it was a great place with a great staff. I had a lot of fun. I highly recommend Hollywood Sheet Music to anyone who is in the area and needs pretty much any sheet music (classical, contemporary, Broadway, etc.)
And the sheet music brings to me my next point - SAVE THE DATE! - I'm planning Gay Day 2011 and it's gonna be awesome! October 1, 2011 will mark the ten year anniversary of me coming out of the closet - and I can't wait. Almost forgot to mention how AMAZING Dolly Parton was at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday. It was seriously a fantastic show. She is hilarious. She had little stories and jokes between each song - and they were really funny. She isn't afraid of making fun of herself and it was great. Here are some pictures. Although parking is a pain - and I kind of hate dealing with large crowds of people - the Hollywood Bowl is a really great experience. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Random String of thoughts: I'm so excited tonight for Super 8 - it's gonna be awesome. I have "You Can't Stop The Beat" from Hairspray stuck in my head. This weekend is also exciting - the a cappella group formerly known as The Cuddlers has a performance tomorrow - then the AIDS/LifeCycle ends - so I'll be cheering on some GMCLA guys there. And then Sunday is PRIDE. I've never actually been to LA Pride. I've never marched in a Pride Parade - but this year, I'll be a part of the parade with GMCLA - we're seeing some songs - doing some parade choreography. It's going to be fun. I'll try to think of some interesting things to blog about today - this blog is noticeably lacking. I'll put a picture of me (why not) here to add some spice. I just took this picture - so don't be too judgmental - it's early in the morning. And here's "You Can't Stop The Beat" from Hairspray just so you can jam out on Friday! |
