YOU SHOULD TOTALLY DO THIS! (click on the pic below for more details)

Unless you're one of the 122 - in which case you should NOT do this - but rather contact me through the Contact Steve page and let's go on a date!

BUT - if you're not in the 122, then you should go and find yourself a man - and while you're there, maybe you can spread the word about my little site here to help me find one of the 122. There is definitely a reward for any assistance in finding a member of The 122. So keep your eyes and ears open!

No Jury Duty - And Tonight

5/26/2011

Well, it's Thursday and I still have yet to be called for Jury Duty. Tomorrow is the Friday before Memorial Day - and I'm sure that the courts will have a half day or an early closure or something - so I don't know if they even have people come in for Jury Duty. But I will call tonight to see if I have to report - and my fingers will be crossed that I do.

In other news, I am meeting a guy off the site tonight. He told me in his email that he doesn't think he'll be my type - but it will be fun to meet up just the same. So wish me luck.

Brunch Date, Anyone?

This morning I woke up and looked at myself in the mirror and thought that I am losing weight.

Does that make me excited?     Yes
Will I spend the day celebrating by doing nothing but eat pizza and watch TV?     Yes

Anyway - the whole "I look skinny in the morning and then not-so-skinny at night" thing drives me nuts. I should plan more dates to take place in the morning.

Still can't believe it.

I'm still completely shocked at what happened last night! (Check post "What Are The Odds?" below.) Yes, I saw the waitress talking to the guy - but it didn't seem like anything other than normal waitress/patron banter. I was only going to ask her opinion because I thought maybe she might have had better gaydar than I do. But, wow - I'm so happy (and at the same time, so embarrassed) that I asked.

ALSO - I'm still completely shocked by the article in The Advocate. It's just crazy awesome.

My roommate Jesse was on a date (with a girl, but they went to The Abbey in WeHo) - and I decided to check it out. But I made one small mistake when I decided to bike there.

Seriously though, my hair...

I'm trying to grow my hair out for GMCLA's 80's show this summer (it's the second weekend in July, you should save the date). Basically, I want to have a totally awesome, totally 80’s hairdo by the last week of June. So I’m letting it all grow out without cutting it (at all) until I figure out what to do with it – but it’s seriously driving me nuts.

I had a dream last night that I suffered some fit of anguish and rage and cut off all my hair – and had to buy a wig.

The entire dream was just a montage of me shopping in various wig stores.

If that’s not the first sign of some form of delirium, I’m not sure what is.

I guess the big question with the hair is this: Would I rather have an authentic 80’s hairstyle for the 80’s show – or – feel confident about my appearance when I approach and/or talk to guys who may be in The 122?

If I can answer that question, I might be able to literally sleep at night.

Kobe Bryant & Apologies

4/14/2011

Ok - so Kobe Bryant was fined $100,000 for his outburst and he called Human Rights Campaign's president Joe Solmones and apologized.

So, my apology to Kobe (with sarcasm rescinded) still stands - as does my plea for him to tell his friends and teammates to check out the site.

Breaking...the conversation.

While on a date, I decided to bring up the TV show "Breaking Bad." Only one problem - I've never seen a single episode.  Talk about a conversation killer!

An Open Letter to Kobe Bryant

For the context of this post, check out the following:  http://www.towleroad.com/2011/04/kobe.html

Dear Mr. Bryant,

I get it. I understand that in the heat of competition, things happen. Fouls are called that you don't agree with - and things are said that you might not mean and can't take back. I totally get it.

But did you have to call the ref the "f" word? Maybe a little harsh, right?

Whether the ref is actually gay or straight, I think we need apologies all around. And in the spirit of good sportsmanship, I will start.

Mr. Bryant, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you are followed by cameras at all times - and aren't even allowed a moment of frustration without it being captured and commented on. It must be tough to have things thrown back in your face constantly from all sides. And I'm also sorry that you will be reminded over the next few days of your status as a role model. And as such, you must be held to a higher standard. That has to be a difficult burden to carry at times. For that, you would totally have my sympathy - until I remind myself that you make MILLIONS OF DOLLARS!

After that, I have to say, Kobe, buddy, when the going gets tough, and fouls are called, and you get ejected from the game, you should probably just SUCK IT UP!

Buy yourself something pretty, and keep your mouth shut!

Sincerely,
Steve

PS - If you or anyone you know (maybe a teammate) might be looking for a date, well - feel free to look around. I'm (obviously) available.
