Anyway - to celebrate I watched four episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise tonight. (SUCH an exciting life I lead...)
I talked to my sister on the phone tonight - and we started talking about her oldest son (who is 5 years old). And apparently, he's a huge Star Wars fan now. And I wanted so badly to rub it in her face how much she made fun of me for being a huge nerd when we were younger - and now she has to research all the aspects of nerddom to foster this new phase in her son's life. I find it very funny.

I bid on a few items on eBay for my dad for his birthday - sure his birthday was on July 18 - but I think he'll really like these items.
The catch? -- The auctions don't end for three days... so yes. I'm a bad son who didn't plan enough to get his father a gift on his actual birthday - and to make up for it, I'm trying to get something that he'll really like - but will take another week or more to get to him. Ugh. I hope he likes them. OMG - what if he doesn't like them? Alright, I'm taking suggestions for what my hairstyle should be for GMCLA's 80's show later this summer. It's getting long (or long for me, anyway) and it's driving me nuts. But if I know the hairstyle I'm shooting for, it might help pass the time. Right now, I'm torn between the style of the blonde chick from Roxette and that of Taylor Dayne... thoughts?
So - when I was home, I was telling my dad about a friend who owns property. And my dad said "You know, you should look into buying property." And - of course - I laughed. Owning property is not on my radar right now - at least it wasn't... Any sane person would have laughed off the remark and not given it another thought. However, in the past two days, I have found myself thinking "I really should know more about purchasing property - just to know." or "If I found the right place at the right price, it might be roughly the same as my monthly rent." These seem to me to be things that first-time property owners think. But then again, how would I know? I'm not a first-time property owner... yet! So it's St. Patrick's Day - my family is pretty big into the Irish culture, which I find interesting since our last name is Scott (which would make us more Scottish), but regardless. My family = big fans of anything Irish. And sure, my great-grandparents are "off the boat" Irish - so it's the culture that my grandparents and obviously then parents grew up in - so I guess I understand. Why am I rambling? Anyway - here's what I wore today. It's a green Utilikilt, a clover belt buckle, and my grandfather's tie (complete with shamrocks, and leprechaun pipes and hats) But enough about me, let's talk about the site and the search: I'm still trying to figure out the RSS Feed for the blog here. I think I'd rather link this sucker to a Tumblr account - but can't seem to get it right. Maybe I'm just being an idiot and should embrace this blog roll instead. Who knows. In the meantime, I keep telling more and more people about the site - and it's so far gotten some pretty good reviews. Now the test about whether or not it will get me a date (or more...). (Man, this picture is not a good picture of me. Not only because of the demon eyes, but did I really need to keep my ID badge on for it? But damn - I got that windsor knot just right, didn't I?) |
