Today was colder than it has been lately in LA. It would have been the perfect day to wear my new Nebraska hoody, but I left it at home like a schmuck. In this picture, I can't tell if I'm trying to block a tackle or performing my favorite Diana Ross song.
In any case, that is my football. I actually own a football - for real. Does that give a me a few points for masculinity? (Also - if you're wondering, that is a poster calling for mechanics to work on Vipers. Oh BSG, I miss you dearly.) I have been reading the book "Game Of Thrones" - and I just finished last night. It was really good - and I highly recommend it. I am very excited for the HBO show coming out this weekend. They were promoting the show at Hollywood & Highland yesterday with The Iron Throne - and I decided I needed my picture taken... ... twice.
Today I saw a tweet that linked to a picture of Joel Burns volunteering with an area Habitat for Humanity. So, I responded to that tweet with just a brief comment "you are seriously amazing." - AND HE RESPONDED!!! Can you believe that!?!? He has no idea who I am! Anyway, if you don't know why I'm slightly obsessed with Joel Burns - please watch this video below. And if you can watch it the entire way through without feeling moved, you have no soul. Ok, if you weren't moved, you still most likely have a soul - but come on! How can you watch that and not tear up a bit?!?
Joel - I said it early today, and I'll say it again - you are seriously amazing. Thank you for being such an inspiration and positive voice in the LGBT Community. This is one thing you should know about me, potential 122-er: I love Celine Dion.
Alright - I'm giving "Surf Hair" one more chance. Not to mention, I spent money on this hair product, so I feel I should use it... right? The problem is this - my hair is longer than it usually is. I'm trying to grow it out a bit to get a crazy 80's hairstyle for GMCLA's 80's concert this summer (which you should totally come to). So I need to let it grow - and it's starting to enter that awkward phase where I'm not too sure what to do with it. PLUS - I could swear that the sides and back are growing faster than the top - I have a pre-mullet in the making, and that wasn't my original intention. Ok - off to work. Happy Tuesday. So I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my recent post where I called this blog boring and tried to remedy the situation by posting a picture of myself. I realized that this could be perceived as narcissistic – and then I realized that this entire site is pretty narcissistic – and then I realized that no one would want to date someone who uses the term “narcissistic” as much as I just did – so I’m just going to leave the whole situation alone.
Narcissism Be Damned – the picture stays! So it's St. Patrick's Day - my family is pretty big into the Irish culture, which I find interesting since our last name is Scott (which would make us more Scottish), but regardless. My family = big fans of anything Irish. And sure, my great-grandparents are "off the boat" Irish - so it's the culture that my grandparents and obviously then parents grew up in - so I guess I understand. Why am I rambling? Anyway - here's what I wore today. It's a green Utilikilt, a clover belt buckle, and my grandfather's tie (complete with shamrocks, and leprechaun pipes and hats) But enough about me, let's talk about the site and the search: I'm still trying to figure out the RSS Feed for the blog here. I think I'd rather link this sucker to a Tumblr account - but can't seem to get it right. Maybe I'm just being an idiot and should embrace this blog roll instead. Who knows. In the meantime, I keep telling more and more people about the site - and it's so far gotten some pretty good reviews. Now the test about whether or not it will get me a date (or more...). (Man, this picture is not a good picture of me. Not only because of the demon eyes, but did I really need to keep my ID badge on for it? But damn - I got that windsor knot just right, didn't I?) |
