Yes. I stood up with Ben Cohen... ...AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! First - I didn't know what would happen - would we get close enough to get a good shot? And then he came in and sat RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! That's the hottest nape I've ever seen! And then he spoke about his foundation (The Stand Up Foundation) and his past as a rugby superstar. And then took questions from the audience. And then pictures! Give a fist pump if you're ridiculously good looking."Just saving the world with my pal Jill."I had demon eyes in the picture I took with him - but here is a picture of Ben with Liam. Take a breath, Liam. And then I took a picture with Jill because I think she's great. We're clearly the best of friends now, right? And then we were IN THE ELEVATOR WITH THEM! We're actually discussing Ben's shoes - believe it or not.And as we walked out of the building - I asked for one more picture - because 1) I'm desperate and 2) I knew I had demon eyes in the first one. But it was SOOO worth it! The perfect Christmas card photo.Today, I biked 30 miles along the Pacific Coast Highway - it was absolutely beautiful - but also terrifying. Cars are whizzing past you at crazy speeds - and they're only like three feet away! I stopped in this (relatively) safe parking lot to take a quick picture or two. PS - yes, you read that right - I biked 30 miles... 30... the most I've ever biked...
I don't know if my video or last post explains the "wrong bulb" thing fully - basically - my back passenger-side light was out - and I changed the reverse light instead of the blinker/brake light.
I know - that still makes me sound like a moron. But I never claimed to know and/or be interested in cars. I think guys do know and/or are interested in cars are great - and would love to date one - but I won't bring much to the car conversation other than little episodes like this. Yesterday, I also tried to be uber-manly and change the back blinker light in my car. Here's what happened. First - I got greasy: But a true man doesn't care about grease, etc. So I powered through... And then something else happened: Started the day like this:Got a haircut and looked like this:Showered and dressed and on my way to pick up Liam like this:Picked up Liam to go shop for costumes like this:And then we changed into our costumes and looked like this:As you can see, I'm trying a new look. We'll see how it goes.
And if you can't read my little sticker - I'm wearing a haz-mat suit and my badge identifies me as an employee at the Bachmann Center for Reparative Therapy. (And I carried around a prayer book.) (PS - Click on the picture of Liam & me to be redirected to his website - 12 Goals, 12 Months.) I just saw "Weekend" - and it was SOOOO good.
Check it out if you can - or wait for it to be released on video or something - but see this movie! (Click the picture below to be sent to the website for trailers and showtimes!) So, in New Hampshire - even though a majority of the residents there are fine with Marriage Equality - the legislature is taking its first steps towards revoking that civil right from same-sex couples. Oh politicians, I love how quickly you forget that you were elected to represent that people... Anyway - my friend (and I'm throwing that term out there fast and loose because even though we're friends on both Facebook and Twitter, I'm sure he's blocked me) Jeremy Hooper who runs the blog "Good As You" caught the National Organization For Marriage (that opposes Marriage Equality) in the act of trying to forge support for this legislation. Click the picture below to read more: And Part Two: And then Rachel Maddow got wind of the story - and told the rest of America. I can't embed the video in here - but click the picture below to go to the site where you can see the video. It's worth it: Thank you Jeremy for your amazing efforts - and thank you to Rachel for spreading the word.
